U.S. Senator Bob Menendez has $3,961,111 cash-on-hand after raising $429,258 during the first three months of 2022.

U.S. Senator Cory Booker, who is not up for re-election until 2026, has a warchest $6,400,286.聽 He raised $871,500 during the first quarter of this year.

Both senators are strong favorites to win re-election in New Jersey, which has not elected a Republican to the United States Senate since Clifford Case won his fourth and last term in 1972.聽 Only Hawaii has gone longer without electing a GOP senator; the last Republican to win there was Hiram Fong in 1970.

Menendez does not face New Jersey voters again until 2024, is ahead of where he was six years ago.聽 He raised $33,982 during Q1 2016 and had $1,088,074 in the bank.

He 聽raised $10,510,612 for his 2018 re-election bid.聽 Menendez was re-elected by 354,299 votes, 54%-43%, against Bob Hugin, a Republican who spent $36 million of his own money running for the Senate.聽 Hugin is now the New Jersey GOP State Chairman.

The Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman did not contribute to the campaign of his son, Robert J. Menendez, who is seeking the Democratic nomination for Congress in New Jersey鈥檚 8th district.

No Republicans have come forward to run against Menendez or Booker.

Booker set a record in his 2020 re-election campaign for the most votes ever cast for a statewide candidate in New Jersey.聽 Menendez holds the record for receiving the most votes in a mid-term election in his 2018 campaign against Hugin.
